In view of the growing trend of chronic diseases around the world and despite the government’s substantial investment in the health sector, many factors still militate against good health. Some of these factors include ignorance, malnutrition, radiation, black soot, stress, hypertension, arthritis, cardiac arrest (heart attack), diabetes, stroke, and infertility. These factors have reduced our health status from the vibrant zone (100%) to the sick zone (25%), which has been scientifically and medically proven. This is of great concern to us because we have received vital information from a scientific advisory board (SAB) that by the year 2020, or before the decade ends, 70-75% of the people living in the Sub-Saharan Region of West Africa will either suffer or die from one chronic disease or another. We believe that with concentrated efforts, this growing and alarming trend can be reduced.
